Companies can now use Microsoft Office 365 for sharing sensitive data within the organization. Office Blog reports Microsoft Office 365 has these features needed for e-mail with the prevention of data loss or DLP. These characteristics are already used in Exchange, Outlook and OWA along with a series of sensitive data embedded that can be used for research. Now, Microsoft is reported to extend these features to SharePoint and OneDrive.

This will allow organizations to use the same data as sensitive to search within the organization. The new feature will allow businesses to search for sensitive data through SharePoint and OneDrive. DLP for SharePoint and OneDrive for Business is built into the research of the existing business. This will allow companies to look for sensitive data in the existing eDiscovery Center and keeps all the data in place making it easier for users to search in real time. There is also an option to protect the eDiscovery Center so that only authorized persons can access and review the sensitive data.

There are 51 types of built-in sensitive data such as credit card numbers, passport numbers, social security numbers and social security numbers. Microsoft Office 365 provides a number of types of sensitive data, and these are detected based on pattern matching makes it easy to set up. Now, simple queries can be created to be shared on SharePoint and OneDrive for business.

It also has the ability to identify the offending documents, export the report and you can also adjust accordingly. This feature allows users to examine the possible incriminating documents real time directly from the eDiscovery Center. Users can adjust the sharing permissions and remove the data.

With these new features in search of sensitive data is now available on SharePoint and OneDrive. Organizations can now check what and where sensitive data does not exist and can help secure and protect this data. Microsoft also announced that it will be introducing additional features on the discovery and auditing of sensitive data in the course of this year.
